Rajasthan Association UK

About us

Khama Ghani,

The Rajasthan Association UK (TRA-UK) was founded to bring together the people from the fine state of Rajasthan, India, now settled in the United Kingdom.

The UK is a very diverse country, and our association aims to promote this diversity. TRA-UK organizes events year round and provides an opportunity for people to share and explore their rich culture and heritage. Some of the ways this is done is:

"Jeeman" - A major event organised in London to experience and celebrate rich and royal culture of Rajasthan. Jeeman symbolises having a traditional meal together with friends & family. People enjoy traditional Rajasthan food like Dal baati & churma. They take part in the time-lived traditional dance pf ghoomar with its graceful performance in conjunction with twirling of colourful and long-flowing skirts which elevates the aesthetic appeal. This helps people to bond together, establish networks and forge ahead in new-found home within the United Kingdom, whilst retaining the strong & rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan Indian Independence day function Traditional "Gangour" and "Holi festival" - the festival of colours Rajasthan diwas - annual event that celebrates Rajasthan We would love for friends of TRA-UK, like yourselves to come forward and provide any support you can. We would also welcome any opportunity to discuss how this can be done.

We are a registered not-for-profit association in the UK and therefore absolutely welcome any further introductions that you might be able to provide.

Jeeman 2018

Khammaghani Sa,
Humbled by the success of past Jeeman and Ganguar events in 2016 - 2018, The Rajasthan Association, London takes immense pride in inviting you to be part of Jeeman 2018 - a fun-filled family event which aims to celebrate Rajasthani Culture, Rajasthani Music, Rajasthani Dance, Rajasthani Food, Rajasthani Attire and last but not the least Rajasthani Language.
All the credit for the success of the past Jeeman & Ganguar events goes to beautiful people of Rajasthan for their proactive participation and wholehearted support. Your active participation is what keeps this organisation alive. Once again, we are looking for your support this year. Children are our future and it's greatly important that they remain connected with our heritage. We hope that this event will reconnect children with their Rajasthani roots and provide an ecstatic exposure to our rich heritage.
Maintaining legacy of Rajasthan, the theme for Jeeman 2018 will be traditional Rajasthani clothing with a safa. To help you capture these sweet memories, there will be a facility for free personal photography so please come dressed to impress in Rajasthani regalia - let's dive in majestic glory reminiscent of a Rajasthani Byav.
You will have a chance to enhance the fun of the day with your performances and artwork - dance, songs, acts, instruments, articles, paintings, etc. Filled to the brim with vibrant colours and cheery spirit, we would love to see both adults and children showcase their talents on the stage.
